Let me be a little personal here and introduce Shellie. The girl next door. She, like all of us, has hope, dreams and desires. Some of them have worked out and some have not. She is the most determined girl I know. She is a mom and a wife, she loves God and tries to follow Christ's example, she cares deeply and is giving. Yet, she is not always appreciated and sometimes she is kicked in the shins and it hurts! Shellie desired to be and became a homemaker and mother and worked hard at it for 23 years. In 2008, her marriage ended in heartbreak. She needed to make a course correction. She, with faith began anew. She still cares deeply for her kids and has prepared a trust, a will, and obtained favorable life insurance. She has set the financial groundwork and started over. I am very lucky to have been part of her world. Shellie, the girl next door, is quite average, and quite extraordinary.

Money Magazine a few years ago reported that 75% of Americans will experience a major negative financial event in any ten year period.  How will you manage it? How will it impact your life and legacy?

Eleanor Roosevelt said "He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses much more; He who loses faith, loses all".

Let no feeling of discouragement prey upon you, and in the end you are sure to succeed. –Abraham Lincoln

7. Thrift and Industry
I commend to all the virtues of industry and thrift, which I believe go hand in hand. The labor and thrift of the people make a nation, a community, or a family strong. Work and thrift make a family independent.

When I can review current budgets and shed light on how to do more with what one has, and find opportunities to increase ones capacity, this is a good day. I love being part of building stronger individuals, families and communities. We are all connected, our well being is connected. I hope that my education, life experience, ideals, and some of the patterns of caring for life available through my insurance agency will inspire you.  -- Kevan Adams
